On Friday it was announced that the new Bishop of Blackburn will be the Revd Dr Joe Kennedy, currently a vicar in Chester Diocese. He will be consecrated in July and begin in earnest in September.
Our best wishes and prayers go with him.

On Saturday 20th April the Haslingden Concert Band will be giving a St George’s Day themed concert at St Altham Church in aid of the ‘ Raise the roof ‘ fund.

You can also sponsor a roof tile for £25 – forms are at the back of church.
Easter Monday Walk
On Easter Monday there will be a church family walk followed by lunch of baked potatoes
in All Saints’ Church.
Meeting at church at 10:30am.
Please sign the list at the back of church if you wish to have a baked potato lunch.

After the service – walking the cross to Barns Square.
Cancer Bank
There is a poster at the back of church and here listing items that are much needed for the Cancer bank.
A whole range of items are listed, but they need to be brand new and in original packaging.
If you are able to contribute, there is a box at the back of church.
Food Bank
Also thank you for continuing to bring items of much needed food for the food bank. At present the food bank is in desperate need of re-stocking. They would also appreciate any children’s clothes.There is a box in the back pew of church if you wish to contribute to the bank this way.
