Oh God, who art the author of peace and the lover

of concord, in knowledge of whom standeth

our eternal life, whose service is perfect

freedom: defend us, thy humble servants, in

all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely

trusting in they defence, may not fear the

power of any adversaries; through the might

of Jesus Christ Our Lord.

All Saints’ PTFA Pre – Christmas Events

In school and open to all –

  • Christmas shopping night –  Thursday 21st November between 6:00 – 8:30pm.
  • Winter Fashion Show – Friday 29th November 7:00pm for 7:30 pm start. Tickets £5 from school or Adele Helm. (Also in aid of Lancashire Women’s Centre).
  • Winter Wonderland  Christmas Fair – Saturday 7th December between 11:00am – 1:00 pm.

Altham Church Christmas Cafe – 23rd November

At the Arthur Wilson Centre on Saturday 23rd November between 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Spirit of Christmas opening concert – sign up for tickets

The festival begins on Friday 13th December when St Christopher’s Jazz Band and Choir will perform at a concert. Tickets are now on sale at £5 each, this will include refreshments and mince pies. There is a discount for families.

Remembrance Day Service – this Sunday

Parade starts from outside the Civic Centre Clayton – Le – Moors at 9:30am.

Service in All Saints’ Church at 10:00am

Remembrance  –  at the cenetaph in Mercer Park start just before 11:00am

Gardening Club – November meeting

Please note the details for the next Gardening Club Workshop 11.00am – 1.00pm Tuesday 26thNovember 2019.

Please note that lunch will be served from 12.45pm rather than from 12.30pm so that Caroline can attend with Sienna and not need to be in two places at the same time!

We intend to start the work on the rockery during this workshop.

Julie and I have put in a bid for a Mini Windfall Grant of £250.00 and this will be supplemented by £100.00 from the Blackburn Diocese grant.

The following workshop is planned to be in March 2020 when we will look at underplanting the rose bushes.

Hopefully Julie may be able to bring one or two volunteers with her to this workshop.

Please bring your 2020 diaries so that we can pencil in a date for the next workshop in March 2020.

Toby should be able to attend part of the November workshop.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder in November than it was in September.

Memorial Service

The annual service to remember our loved ones departed will be held on Sunday 3rd November. This earth service will start at 3:00pm.

Please note any names you would like to include on the sheet at the back of church.

Purple Praise Service – Thursday 17th october

Next Purple Praise Service is one Thursday 17th October  at 2:00pm in All Saints’ Church .

It will be a short, simple, relaxed service followed by tea and cakes.

All are welcome, especially older people and those living with dementia.
