Parish Walk – Monday 4th May

Parish Walk 

Meet at Shireburn Arms Hurst Green at 11:00am for a walk of uptown 5 miles.

Bring a packed lunch

All are welcome to join our walk including dogs!

7:00pm in All Saints’ Church (a half hour service)

Do try and come along to share in Holy Communion on this special feast 40 days on from Easter Day, when we rejoice that Jesus is exalted to heaven and promises his disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Open the book team – want to join?

Open the Book would love one or two people to join the team – again they are particularly short of men!. All roles include working with children, so there is  a safer recruiting process and some online safeguarding training to do. Neither are onerous and we will guide you through.

Please speak to one of the open the book team if you are interested in finding out more.

Tot’s Praise is for the youngest – under 5s together with their parents/carers – gather between 2 and 2:15, all done in time for school pick up.

The coach  will leave from outside All Saints’ at 9:15am on Saturday morning

YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK YOUR LUNCH ( Children’s activities – now booked up) – Follow the link below.

Family activities in St John’s Church, Youth activities in St John’s School and music, comedy etc on the stage in St John’s Square.

1:00am Free lunch – hog roast or veggie alternative,

2:00 – 3:15pm Giant open air worship celebration.

All welcome and all free, though you’ll need to book on line here,   which will take you to the Diocesan website.  There you will be able to book for family group access to the family zone, register young people for the youth zone, and to book lunch. Also please remember to sign up for a place on the coach.

Community lunch no Purple Praise this month

Next Community lunch is Friday

24th April

Through the warmer months of the year lunches will be held once a month usually on the fourth Friday in each month and will feature cold food but still a warm welcome!

No charge, but if you are able to give a small donation towards costs that would be greatly appreciated.

 

 No Purple Praise this month

Usually at 1:00pm following on from the community lunch on every  fourth Friday in the month, we will have a short informal café style service and a brew.
