School Governor

The PCC is seeking to nominate a  suitable person to serve as a governor of All Saints’ School.

The school is a single academy trust which means that governors carry significant responsibility as directors in company law and trustees in charity law.

We seek governors with a range of experience and skills to offer who are committed to upholding the Christian ethos of the school.

School Admissions – form signing

If you would like a supplementary form signing  for admission to St. Christopher’s or another church school, please bring it to church on  Friday 17th October between 6:00 – 6:45 pm. The vicar will add his reference and  hand it into school.

If you are applying for All Saints’ or St James’ or another church primary school you return the form to the school and they forward it to Revd Toby. Please note that if you are applying to both All Saints’ and St. James’ you should complete a form for each school separately.

Outcome of 11:00am church refreshments survey

Thank you to those who took part in the survey.

There was a clear majority who would like to continue doing brews after the service. Some however have really appreciated a welcoming drink on arrival – it has helped make us a more welcoming church.

The PCC has decided to have the best of both worlds. Drinks will be available for any who wish between 10:30 – 10:50am, served by a member of the sides person team.

Refreshments will also be available after the service, served by those on the coffee rota. This pattern will start in November.

It maybe that you would be able to help serving brews before or after the service as part of a rota. If so please speak to Linda or Andrew our wardens.

Prayer Time

This month’s prayer time will take the form of Holy Communion with a time of open prayer. All welcome

If you can – we are asking for donations of full bottles for the bottle stall.

Could be wine or other alcohol / non alcohol drinks, – but other bottle items like sauces, shampoos, oils, vinegars etc….

We now have enough jigsaws and empty bottles

1st October  from 2:00pm in All Saints’ Church

Harvest Glue and Glitter

Tot’s Praise is for the youngest – under 5s together with their parents/carers – gather between 2:00 and 2:15pm, all done in time for school pick up.

Church Family Day at Ribchester

Church Family Day at Ribchester – 27th September

10:30am – 3:00pm

Our base will be the village hall, PR3 3XS

Activities for children and adults;  input from a great speaker; lunch provided; free time to enjoy; walk to a beautiful chapel  for closing worship.

last year was an excellent and well attended day for the whole church family with a mix of faith, fun, food & fellowship.

Please sign – up on the list at the back of church to help know numbers for planning and lunch.

Free but a small donation appreciated to cover lunch.
