All Saints’ Tide weekend – 1st November – 3rd November

 

Friday  1st November- come and enjoy the Community Lunch and / or Purple Praise

Saturday  2nd November – join in a prayer walk around our community, starting at 10:00am from All Saints’ Church.

 Sunday 3rd November at our 11:00am service  we will celebrate our church which is dedicated to All Saints’ There will be no 8:00am service, though there will be the 9:30am service at Altham. 

This is also our Gift Day so if you can please consider making an extra gift to the work of the church.

At 4:00pm on Sunday  we will hold a service to remember the faithfully departed. Add any names you would like read out loud to the list at the back of church.

Scargill House near Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales,

We are planning a fantastic weekend at Scargill House – just outside Kettlewell in the stunning Yorkshire Dales between 10 – 12th October 2025.

Please take a letter and find out all about it.

It is suitable for young and old alike, children and adults, families, couples and single people. A great opportunity for friendship and fellowship.

Bookings are now open and we would encourage you to book soon so that we know that we will have a good number of people.

We will celebrate our patronal festival of All Saints’ on Sunday 3rd November with a special service at 11:00am.

The Harvest Flower Festival

‘Our Bountiful but Fragile World’

A massive thanks to everyone who has helped to make this Harvest Flower Festival a success; the flower team and their many helpers, those who made the large items and attended craft sessions. The organisers of the concert, Sing Space & St Christopher’s High School choir and jazz band.  The catering group and those that brought along cakes. The groups who  decorated the windows and All Saints School Allotment Group for their display in the porch. To our choir who led us in our Sunday service and Songs of Praise and to everyone who came and supported the events.

 

 

 

Harvest Festival displays

 

All the displays need to be dismantled, if you are available from 1:00am this  Wednesday ( 16th October), please come and help – The more the merrier!

Supplementary forms for admission to St. Christopher’s will be signed on Friday 18th October between 5:00 – 5:30pm in All Saints’ Church.

Supplementary forms for Primary Schools should be returned direct to the school. If applying to more than one church school you will need to complete a form for each if you want church attendance to be considered.

We are looking for one or two people to join the group of Baptism Helpers, if you think you may be interested please find out more by speaking to the Vicar or  Margaret Sims.

Education or Back to School Sunday next week 15th September at 11:00am

Weather permitting it will take place outside in the school grounds.

A special service to mark the start of the new year.

Some chairs will be available but if you have a portable one you may like to bring it and do bring a coat if it is damp.
